Internetrix is proud to announce the recent completion of a
major revamp of the TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute website. The Illawarra Institute is one of only eleven
Institutes in New South Wales, and is the
largest provider of vocational education and training in Southern
NSW.
The revamped website has a
bright new aesthetic that complies with the style and brand design
guidelines required by the TAFE. The new site was launched
to the world on 14th October. In the subsequent 7 weeks the website
has attracted over 65 000 visitors and 125 000 page views across a diverse
range of areas including the Library, Current Job Opportunities, Course Search
and TAFE for Business pages.
Liz Thomas Manager Media and Public Relations at the
Illawarra Institute said “We invested critical resources developing the
Institutes style guide to be more reflective of the organisation that we now
are. Once the style and brand guide were
finalised we were able to go to tender for the new website. Since go live the
response has been enthusiastic in terms of look and certainly a major improvement
in terms of usability and access to the vast amounts of information.”
A highlight of the new website is the Find Us page which
outlines all of the campuses included in the Illawarra Institute, stretching
all the way south to the Bega Campus.
“We want people to make informed choices about their future
training needs. Having access to the comprehensive visitation data will allow
us to better understand our online market and their information needs,” added
Liz Thomas.
The website is managed with Freestyle, Internetrix content
management system which allows various staff the ability to be responsible for
and publish content directly to the website.
Currently over 360 pages and growing, Internetrix is grateful for it’s
involvement in such a successful project.
