September is all about new launches, as there’s a lot going on in the tech world.
On
the home front, Internetrix is thrilled to officially launch the new
Newspoll website. With advanced search functionality, the Newspoll site
gets plenty of traffic, giving Australian statistics on all sorts of
topics and issues.
We were also lucky enough to get a visit from one of our favourite wandering nomads, Tim Cope. Over 2 years into his trek on horseback between Mongolia and Hungary, Tim was in Sydney on the weekend as a guest of Australian Geographic, who presented him with their Adventurer of the Year award. Check out our exciting story in this edition about Tim's adventures through Mongolia, Kazakhstan and the Ukraine to name just a few. We've even put a video online that makes for great viewing!
We’re also happy to inform you of some
changes we’ve made to our technical infrastructure having moved
datacentres throughout September. The major upgrade has been made to
ensure that all of our hosting clients get the best possible service.
This month’s staff profile is another of our tall men. Daniel Rowan is our Operations Manager and a wine-loving aficionado.
Also
this month, get all the dirt on what Microsoft has been up to. There
are some big changes coming, which will change each and every one of
our PC experiences.
Finally, amidst all the confusing Web 2.0 lingo swirling around the net today, we explain “tagging”.
Enjoy the September issue!
